IMH provides the possibility of two levels of backups for your managed accounts, both of which are stored directly in your AWS account.
By default, backups are kept for 7 days then deleted in order to keep your AWS storage bill down. You can have a higher retention period if you'd like.
Snapshots
The first is created when we setup your server, that is called a "snapshot". Think of it as copying the entire disk of your computer to a external thumb drive, every night.
In the event of failure, boot up a new server with yesterdays data, remove your old machine and you are back in business. Setup is per server.
WordPress Site Backups
The second way is a daily copy of your website and database into a .zip file, and then storing it your AWS account (using S3). Using this option it is possible to restore a single site without restoring the entire server. Setup is per website.
Pricing
There is a one-time fee for each setup, which includes one free restoration should you need it. Additional restorations are available for a fee as needed.
